Miljöbyggnad

"Miljöbyggnad" is Sweden's leading environmental certification of buildings where the building's environmental performance is reviewed by a third party. The aim of the environmental classification system is to contribute to a more sustainable construction and property sector. There are three different levels of certification that a property can achieve – Bronze, Silver and Gold.

The assessment covers three areas: energy, indoor environment and materials.
In order to achieve certification, there are a number of requirements that must be met regarding how the building is designed, projected and constructed. What is checked is:
•    Energy use
•    Indoor environment in terms of sound, air quality, thermal climate and daylight
•    Material selection for new production and use of building materials

Bathroom products are affected by these requirements but cannot be certified but only fulfill the recommendations within the various certification levels. Calculations and follow-ups take place on the entire property's consumption, where our products are an important part of the total energy consumption.
Properties classified according to Miljöbyggnad meet the requirements to be able to take out more favorable loans at a lower interest rate, so-called "Green mortgages". Even those who live in a certified building can get a more favorable mortgage with some banks.
